Vaqueras nab 2 Arizona recruits for Fall 2023, send off sophomores to the next level

February 2, 2023

The Vaqueras, defending D1 Region 1 Champions and 7th place at the NJCAA National Meet in 2022, have added two highly sought after prospects for the '23 season.

Alexis Fisher-Hagler and Estefania Golzales Sandoval have both committed to the women's team and are set to make an immediate impact for the Vaqueras.

Alexis currently runs for Queen Creek High School where she specializes in the 800 and 1600 events.  Her current personal records are 2:40.07 in the 800 and 5:44.26 in the 1600.

Estefania currently runs for Maryvale High School where she specializes in the 800.  Her current personal record is 2:31.07.

"I am very excited to have Alexis and Estefania commit to our program"  Stated Head Coach Jon Harmon. "The ladies worked hard to get to this position and I know will come to CAC and excel in running and the classroom."

Alexis and Estefania are both multi-sport athletes and both made the state high school championships in other sports in addition to running.

Alexis was one of the top female golfers in the state and Estefania is a key player for her state qualifying soccer team.  Both will be fully committed to their running once starting at CAC, which should produce some quality results individually and as a team.

As the team adds two new additions, it celebrates the graduation and continued path in running for 4 others.

Lisbet Porras, Beatrice Keditukei, Jaida Lyles, and Jaedyn Brown all have received offers to continue their running at NCAA D1 and D2 institutions, respectfully.

Lisbet has committed to run for Western New Mexico and is expected to lead her new team to a conference title.

Beatrice is leaning towards a D1 University in North Carolina but has yet to commit.

Jaida graduated in the fall and is currently running for UNLV, a D1 school.  She currently is a top 3 athlete on the team.

Jaedyn is leaning towards Fort Lewis as her next destination, a competitive D2 school located in Colorado.

"The four ladies worked hard and believed in the program here at CAC.  All that hard work paid off and I couldn't be happier, I know they will work just as hard at the next level." Stated Harmon.
