Vaqueras Win 11 Events at ACCAC Home Meet
Three Vaqueras of the Central Arizona College women's track team grabbed the crown in two events apiece in Saturday's Arizona Community College Athletic Conference meet at the CAC track.
Double winners for the women were Plaserae Johnson in the 100 meters (11.88 seconds) and 200 (24.91), Kimberly Golding in the 100 hurdles (14.31) and long jump (18 feet, 1 inch), and Micah Dennis in the discus (144-11) and shot put with a mark of 45-91⁄4.
Also finishing first for the Vaqueras were Adriana Woltez in the 800 (2:22.99), Ashanna Hodge in the 400 hurdles (1:05.88) and BreAnn Denson in the triple jump (37-6), along with the 4 x 100 relay team of Prasanna Polite, Charmaine Delotch, Johnson and Elexis Fuller-Stewart (46.09) and the 4 x 400 team of Woletz, Bianca Burrell, Johnson and Agata Klimovich (3:51.92).
In dual-meet scoring, CAC's women registered 100-plus points in wins over Glendale, Mesa, Paradise Valley, Pima and Scottsdale.
